The U.S. Navy's Voting Assistance Program consists of providing voting and enfranchisement assistance to all the Navy Sailors, Department of the Navy employee's and their families around the world. The Voting program ensures that all Navy personnel receive timely and accurate information regarding state and federal elections through all communication means available. The support structure, which is consistently changing, consists of 16 regional commanders who provide election materials and information to 97 installations, which then filters the information throughout the Navy. Due to the overall importance of the right for all Department of Navy personnel and their families to register and vote, the Secretary of Defense has mandated all service members and their families have access to election information and materials 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year. The Navy has provided hotlines via various communication means to include: telephone, electronic mail, internet and postal mail. The Navy Voting Program has a commitment to the democratic process for all its Sailors serving locally and abroad.
The FPCA Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) is the easy way to register and vote absentee from your home state. Each state has certain requirements on submitting the FPCA. Click here to access the FPCA.
