Installation Land Access

Due to the configuration of our test ranges, not all NAWS China Lake property lies within the installation gates. This open desert area is inviting for off-road enthusiasts and various competitive events. However, in order to cross or use NAWS land, certain procedures must be followed.

To request to cross or use NAWS land, please contact the NAWS Public Affairs Office.

When making your request, please provide the following information:

Date(s) of the activity/event
What the activity entails
Why Navy land is needed for the activity opposed to another location
Expected number of people involved/participants
Point of contact
