Base Access

NAWS China Lake is not open to the general public. Everyone that wishes to gain access to the installation must go through a vetting process prior to being approved for a badge. The type of badge received will depend on the purpose and duration of the visit.

Pass and ID Office (formerly the Visitor Center)

The Pass and ID Office processes all badge requests.

Normal Hours

6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday

6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Non-flex (working) Fridays

Closed flex (non-working) Fridays, weekends and holidays

Non-working Fridays for 2023 are: JAN 20; FEB 3 and 17; MAR. 3, 17, and 31; APR. 14 and 28; MAY 12 and 26; JUNE 9 and 23; JULY 7 and 21
