Wind Ensemble

The largest element of Navy Band Southwest is the 35-member Wind Ensemble. As a representative of the Commander, Navy Region Southwest, this exceptional unit performs extensively throughout the Southwestern United States.

In addition to the standard repertoire associated with military bands and wind ensembles, a concert will almost always involve “pops” selections. These selections range from patriotic favorites, to the sounds of the big band era, to hits by current pop and country artists. You will hear works from composers such as Sousa, Holst, and John Williams. This ensemble prides itself in presenting a variety of music sure to please audiences of all ages and tastes.

This outstanding group is in very high demand and has performed in conjunction with numerous community concert series events in San Francisco, Denver, Phoenix, Reno, Albuquerque, Los Angeles, and of course San Diego.

Navy Band Southwest's Wind Ensemble is a favorite throughout the southwest, and is guaranteed to provide a memorable and exciting entertainment experience for all!
