Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) Port Hueneme Detachment China Lake (Seabees)
NCTC Port Hueneme Det. is located at the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) site, China Lake. This detachment specializes in training Navy combat engineers in the fields of water well drilling and blasting and quarry operations. Their mission is to prepare Seabees and Airmen for success by providing top-notch training efficiently and safely. They also work hard to develop the leadership and teamwork skills of their staff and students.
The detachment currently offers Water Well Drilling School and Blasting and Quarry Technician School four times per year that includes both classroom instruction and field training.

Navy Munitions Command Detachment China Lake
Navy Munitions Command, CONUS West Division (NMC CWD), Detachment China Lake is one of several detachments located on the west coast that fall under NMC CWD, located in Seal Beach, Calif.
Detachment China Lake provides quality and responsive logistical, technical and material support in the areas of retail ammunition management and ordnance system components and provides technical support of ordnance and ordnance-related equipment and processes. They support research, development, acquisition, testing and evaluation at China Lake, as well as the Fleet. NMC CWD Det. China Lake’s vision and goal is the achievement of cost-wise readiness and exceptional customer service through a workforce engaged in continuous process improvement.
