The Naval Base Point Loma Public Works team funds maintenance and repair for base facilities including buildings, roads, grounds and piers. The Public Works Officer's area of responsibility includes Naval Base Point Loma, Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare complex (NMAWC), Old Town Complex (OTC) and Naval Brig Miramar. The Public Works team is responsible for the maintenance and repair of 1447 Naval facilities with a combined plant replacement value of more than $2.2 billion. Public Works initiates and oversees service to 71 tenant commands as well as 6 Major Fleet Units (Submarines).
