UPDATES:
1-16-2026 - SECURITY EXERCISES - Starting on Tuesday, January 20 and running through February 6 the base will be conducting a series of security drills as a part of an annual Navy-wide exercise. The exercises may cause heightened security activity, increased traffic at our gates and delays in base access, and temporary gate closures. Some drills may include the use of smoke generators and role players. The station’s “Giant Voice” mass notification loudspeaker and alarm system may also be used. Civilian boat traffic through Anaheim Bay is unlikely to be affected..
12-16-2025 - MAIN GATE CLOSURE - Starting today at 5:00pm the base Main Gate on Seal Beach Boulevard will be closed for the holiday period. The Main Gate will resume normal operating hours on Monday, January 12 at 6:00am. During this time the Westminster Avenue Gate (Gate 9) will be available 24/7 for base entry and exit.
10-01-2025 - GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN - The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted work will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status. More info HERE.

Our facilities also support Coast Guard vessels and Marine Corps units stationed afloat and ashore.
