4-02-2026 - The Navy is preparing to release a developer solicitation in Spring 2026 as part of a competitive solicitation process to select a potential master developer for the reutilization of 28 acres of land at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, located in Seal Beach, California. 1-16-2026 - SECURITY EXERCISES - Starting on Tuesday, January 20 and running through February 6 the base will be conducting a series of security drills as a part of an annual Navy-wide exercise. The exercises may cause heightened security activity, increased traffic at our gates and delays in base access, and temporary gate closures. Some drills may include the use of smoke generators and role players. The station’s “Giant Voice” mass notification loudspeaker and alarm system may also be used. Civilian boat traffic through Anaheim Bay is unlikely to be affected..
12-16-2025 - MAIN GATE CLOSURE - Starting today at 5:00pm the base Main Gate on Seal Beach Boulevard will be closed for the holiday period. The Main Gate will resume normal operating hours on Monday, January 12 at 6:00am. During this time the Westminster Avenue Gate (Gate 9) will be available 24/7 for base entry and exit.
