Master Chief Knight is a third generation Sailor and a native of Steamboat Springs Colorado. She entered the Navy through the Delayed Entry program and completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, FL in January 1991.
Following Basic training, Master Chief Knight reported to Damage Control "A" School in Treasure Island, CA. Her first duty station was aboard USS Safeguard (ARS-50), where she completed two deployments conducting salvage and diving operations. In January 1995, Master Chief Knight reported to Navy Recruiting District Raleigh, NC, where she served as a Production Recruiter and Recruiter in Charge. In March 1998, she was assigned to USS Leyte Gulf and was honorably discharged from Naval Service following that tour. She continued her Naval Service enlisting in the Naval Reserve and reporting to Naval Reserve Center Raleigh, NC in OCT 1999. In November 2001, she returned to Active Duty, reported to Public Safety Storefront Norfolk, VA and was promoted to Master-at-Arms Chief Petty Officer in 2002. In May 2007, she reported to NAVSUPACT Souda Bay, Greece. In MAY 2009, she reported to the security department in Naples, Italy and was temporary assigned as Command Senior Enlisted Leader in 2011. In OCT 2012, she reported to the USS George Washington (CVN-73), completing three successful FDNF Patrols.
In December 2014, Master Chief Knight reported to Commander U.S. Fleet Forces Command, where she was selected to the Command Master Chief program. In April of 2017 she reported to VFA 103 where she led her squadron through an arduous 10 month combat deployment. In February 2020 she reported to HSC 2 on NAVSTA Norfolk, successfully serving as the Command Master Chief for the largest MH60 helicopter squadron on the east coast. In October 2021, she reported to NAS Fallon, NV where she currently serves as the installation CMC.
Master Chief Knight is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (class 168 purple), CMC/COB course (class 169) in Newport, Rhode Island. Her Personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards) and numerous other units and campaign awards.
