Command Master Chief Freyberg, a New York City native, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 1999. Upon completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command Illinois, he reported to the USS Kauffman (FFG 59), homeported in Norfolk, Virginia where he earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Qualification. In December 2004, he reported to Naval School Explosive Ordinance Disposable, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

Captain Jeffry S. Findlay, callsign “Lou,” a native of Wakefield, Mass., enlisted into the Navy on August 1, 1996. After deploying across the globe on Frigates, Destroyers, and Cruisers, then AW2 (AW/NAC) Findlay was selected for the Broaden Opportunity Officer Selection Training (BOOST) in Newport, R.I. Captain Findlay came onboard as the Executive Officer at NAS Lemoore on May 12, 2023.

Captain Shawn P. O’Connor accepted a commission as an Ensign in December 2000 after graduating from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance. Earning his wings of gold in June 2002, he was then transferred to Fighter Squadron 101 for Fleet Replacement training and was designated a Radar Intercept Officer in May 2003. CAPT O'Connor took command of NAS Lemoore on May 12, 2023.

Ryan Stewart, a Utah native who enlisted in the Marine Corps as an infantryman in 1995 and received his commission through the Marine Corps Enlisted Commissioning Program in 2004, is a graduate of the University of Washington. Before retiring from the Marine after 20 years of service, Mr. Stewart’s various assignments included duties as a battalion intelligence officer, battalion operations officer, and as series commander at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. Mr. Stewart, a combat veteran of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, came to Naval Support Activity Monterey after serving as the director of Facilities for Naval Postgraduate School.

In 1997, he enlisted in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, serving various Naval Hospitals and United States Marine Corps units to include deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Electronics, applied to Officer Candidate School, and in 2008, received his commission as a Surface Warfare Officer. In 2012, he earned his master’s in business administration from Brandman University.
